I'm a free spirit. I feel like I'm 16. I'm seeing all my friends, taking walks, going to breakfast. I have a really nice life right now. I can't complain.
Where will I be in five years? I have no idea. I mean, I feel like more of a crazy, lost teenage kid now than I did when I was a teenager. I just hope I'm happy. I hope whatever I'm doing, it's inspiring and makes me feel good and I'm proud of it. Whatever that is. I have no idea. I mean, there's a lot of aspects to this business, and I don't know. I might be tired. I might be like, you know, living in some crazy, small town working in a coffee shop. Who knows? If that makes me happy, I hope I'm doing that.
I don't know if I'll be an actor for the rest of my life. I love specific stories, but I think I love the stories more than the actual acting. And that's odd to me. I don't wake up in the morning and think, I'm dying to act today! I guess that makes me kind of finicky in terms of my job. In 10 years, if there are still good stories I'm attracted to, who knows.
For anyone who tends to be shy around strangers or in public situations, it's kind of an occupational hazard. There's nothing about it in the actors' handbook. But it's just one little moment, and no one cares.
You know, the weird thing about TV is you're on TV, you're in people's houses for free -- versus a movie theater, where someone's actually choosing to pay and see this movie. You're taking in -- they're deciding to do that. So I think you have to somewhat understand that you are a role model, because you're -- you are doing that. But it's hard, too, because, you know, you want to be able to mess up, too, and not be like, "I'm perfect. I'm on TV. I'm a role model." But I guess peripherally, I do understand that and acknowledge that.
But Tony was the first time sex was like 'Right on, we need to do this more often, yeah!
